TecFusion is an Exciting Business Opportunity

NASA TecFusion brings federally-funded small businesses together with larger firms that have similar interests to advance development of technologies to help meet (their/the large firms) needs. These small businesses have successfully demonstrated  technology advancements with Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) funding, nearly $2.6 billion annually, and are ready to move to the next level

TecFusion is Successful

Since its inception more than six years ago, TecFusion has worked with corporate hosts to enable a number of Summits where the host meets with small businesses to explore potential business partnerships. These partnerships have brought exciting new and profitable products to the marketplace.

• The TecFusion Program Responds to National Emphasis on Innovation and Commercialization
• The TecFusion continues to match federally funded small business technologies to the needs of large companies. This is an exciting and effective way to enable innovation and commercialization of these technologies in response to the recommendations from the White House and NASA Hq.
• Completed 14 Summits in FY 2011 and Goal is 20 in FY 2012
• The team completed 14 summits during FY 2011 and both hosts and the small businesses were enthusiastic about the events and future potential business opportunities. The goal is for 20 summits in FY 2012.
  
• WebEx-Based Commercialization Seminars
• NASA successfully completed the first in a series of WebEx-based seminars in FY 2011 to assist participants and more are planned for FY 2012.
